Blog # 2 what is the purpose of Education?

This is the big question, right? But the video I watch on the topic reminds resonates me a lot. "Those who get education know nothing about how to do the planting and harvesting here", as one lady said in the video. Education seems bring civilization and knowledge to people, while the culture attached to them when they are born is lost. After education, all people from different background, ethnic groups or religions go to find job in the metropolitan cities and pursue the materialistic life. Everything seems alike no matter how desperate people are labeling themselves with some culture. This is sad. Do we really benefit from education?
